Why can the same materials produce different cells in different factories?

Electrode production
Mixing, dispersion, coating, drying, calendaring, and slitting determine loading, porosity, adhesion, and uniformity. A formulation change usually requires a new slurry and drying process window.

Cell assembly and electrolyte filling
After winding or stacking, cells are inserted, welded, sealed, dried, and filled. Moisture, burrs, alignment, welding, and electrolyte wetting are major controls for internal shorts, impedance, and life.

Formation, grading, and quality feedback
Formation establishes interphases and exposes early defects. Grading and aging evaluate capacity, self-discharge, and consistency. Manufacturing data should trace back to material lots, equipment, stations, and inspection results.
