Xibei Power × Starisee Reach Strategic Cooperation to Jointly Explore New Track of Sodium-Ion Liquid Cooling Ultra-Fast Charging
Recently, Xibei Power and Star Green Road, a subsidiary of Star Energy Group, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties agreed to collaborate on advancing the implementation of sodium-ion charging facilities, liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging stations, AIDC, and other projects, conducting in-depth technical synergy around sodium-ion liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging station systems, with a promotion and application scale of no less than 100 sets. This will fully integrate the entire industrial chain of sodium-ion cell research and development, energy storage system integration, and ultra-fast charging station investment, construction, and operation, providing low-cost, high-safety rapid charging solutions for scenarios such as passenger vehicles, heavy trucks, logistics parks, and oilfield mining areas.
As a specialized and innovative high-tech enterprise, Xibei Power focuses on the polyanionic sodium-ion battery field, independently developing high-power sodium-ion cells and liquid-cooled energy storage systems. Its self-developed sodium-ion cells and containerized liquid-cooled energy storage cabins feature core characteristics such as 10C ultra-high rate discharge, wide temperature range adaptability, 10,000-cycle long life, and intrinsic safety without thermal runaway, providing high-safety and high-performance hardware support for high-power ultra-fast charging and large-scale energy storage scenarios. Star Energy Group is a service provider specializing in charging and swapping infrastructure construction and comprehensive energy solution implementation. Its subsidiary, Star Green Road, focuses on liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging equipment production, charging station EPC, station operation, and oilfield comprehensive energy services, serving public transportation, logistics, and industrial and mining enterprises across various regions. The company possesses comprehensive channels, construction qualifications, and operational systems, with full-chain implementation capabilities for ultra-fast charging station planning, power distribution, and operation and maintenance, facilitating the large-scale commercial deployment of sodium-ion energy storage solutions.
The two parties jointly customized a megawatt-level liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging sodium-ion energy storage system for commercial vehicles, optimizing thermal management and electrical control strategies, and launching a standardized "sodium-ion energy storage + liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging" integrated solution, achieving 5–10 minute rapid charging. Against the backdrop of commercial vehicle electrification, sodium-ion batteries are more suitable for high-power ultra-fast charging needs compared to lithium batteries. The collaboration connects the entire chain of cells, integration, and station operation, reducing project implementation costs, accelerating the construction of green charging networks, and promoting the achievement of dual-carbon goals. In the future, the two parties will use this strategic cooperation as a starting point to continuously expand diverse application scenarios such as industrial and commercial energy storage, grid frequency regulation, and computing power backup, jointly building a full-scenario application industrial ecosystem for sodium-ion energy storage.
