Xibei Power High-Performance Sodium-Ion Battery Production Base Project Officially Signed and Settled in Zigong High-tech Zone

On August 30, the Xibei Power Cooperation Matchmaking and Project Signing Ceremony was grandly held in Zigong, Sichuan. Beijing Xibei Power Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement with Zigong High-tech Zone for the high-performance sodium-ion battery production base project, marking the successful settlement of the project in Zigong High-tech Zone. This signing not only filled a key gap in Zigong High-tech Zone's high-rate sodium-ion battery industrialization sector, but also became an important strategic step for Xibei Power to expand into the southwestern new energy market.

At the signing ceremony, Yang Daojun, Chairman of Xibei Power, gave a detailed introduction to the proposed project: the project plans a total investment of approximately 250 million yuan, and upon completion and reaching full production capacity, is expected to form an annual production capacity of 0.5 GWh of high-performance sodium-ion batteries, achieving annual sales revenue of approximately 500 million yuan, effectively filling the gap in high-rate sodium battery industrialization in Zigong High-tech Zone. Based on this phase of the project, Xibei Power will steadily advance capacity expansion in line with market development pace, with a long-term plan to reach a production capacity scale of 10 GWh, continuing to deeply cultivate the sodium-ion battery industrialization track.

During the event, specially invited merchants successively presented their proposed cooperation projects. Qiao Shaohua, Chairman of Wuxi Nake; Liu Jianhong, Chairman of Tailing Technology; Li Shaojun, General Manager of Blue Ocean Intelligent; and Han Jiahui, General Manager of Sida Greenway, respectively introduced their business directions and cooperation prospects. Yang Daojun, Chairman of Xibei Power, stated that the company has always attached importance to coordinated development of the industrial chain. This invitation of upstream and downstream partners to gather in Zigong is aimed at leveraging the local complete industrial foundation to further improve the sodium battery industry ecosystem layout in Zigong. Subsequently, both sides conducted in-depth docking and exchanges around cooperation directions, and the projects presented by the four enterprises all received high attention from relevant departments of Zigong City.

Xiao Bingdong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zigong Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, welcomed the arrival of Xibei Power and the various merchant enterprises in his speech, and emphasized that Zigong City will continue to optimize the business environment to provide strong guarantees for enterprise settlement and development. Follow-up in-depth docking will be conducted with each enterprise to promote the substantive implementation of cooperation. In the future, Xibei Power will deeply integrate into Zigong's full sodium battery industry chain ecosystem, relying on local resource endowments and policy support to continuously increase R&D investment and promote the application and promotion of sodium-ion batteries in multiple scenarios, injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the new energy industry and helping to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.
