On April 21, the 16th Fengxian Electric Vehicle Exhibition grandly opened. In this three-day benchmark event for the electric tricycle industry, as the only independently exhibiting sodium-ion battery brand, Zhongna Energy's light-duty power sub-brand "Zhongpai Battery" secured a core exhibition area of 100 square meters, showcasing its full range of sodium iron sulfate cells and PACK products. For hundreds of millions of ordinary households in northern China, a tricycle is not just a means of transportation but also a companion for picking up children, transporting goods, and making a living. However, every winter, range halving and charging difficulties become a heavy burden. In Fengxian, China's largest production base for electric tricycles, Zhongpai Battery brings not laboratory samples but scalable delivery solutions: leveraging the sodium iron sulfate (NFS) technology pathway, Zhongpai Battery has built leading advantages in wide temperature range, long cycle life, high safety, and high rate capability, providing robust power for scenarios such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, battery swapping, and intercity delivery.
Currently, the sodium-ion battery industry has been elevated to a strategic level concerning industrial chain security and autonomy, national policy direction, and green transformation of the livelihood industry. China's dependence on foreign lithium resources exceeds 70%, and cobalt exceeds 95%, while sodium resources are independently controllable and widely distributed. Among the 450 million two-wheelers and over 50 million three-wheelers nationwide, about 80% still use lead-acid batteries, with the "low-end, small-scale, scattered" battery production model causing severe environmental issues. The promotion of sodium batteries directly impacts the lifeline security of China's light-duty power industrial chain and the green upgrade of livelihood travel.
In the past few years, sodium-ion batteries have often been placed in simple cost comparisons. However, their core competitiveness stems not from price logic but from value logic.
