Transport safety requirements

Transport determination needs to identify whether the object is a research sample, cell, battery, equipment containing batteries, or system, and whether it is new, returned, damaged, or waste. States can change the applicable path; one sodium battery label is insufficient.

Transport materials should correspond to product specifications, test supporting information, packaging configuration, labels, and declaration information. When product or packaging changes, assess whether previous material still applies rather than assuming a historical report automatically covers the new state.
