According to business registration records, sodium-ion battery maker Guangdong Highstar Naxing Technology Co., Ltd. completed the equity change registration for its capital increase on September 25, raising its registered capital from 24.3 million yuan to 28.3 million yuan. The new shareholders are Renshou Innovation Industry Investment Fund (limited partnership) with 11.7786%, Chilwee Holdings Group with 1.1779%, and Guizhou Chuanheng Chemical Co., Ltd. with 1.1779%. After the change, the stake held by controlling shareholder Jiangsu Highstar Battery Manufacturing fell from 49.3827% to 42.4028%.
Chuanheng Chemical disclosed in its 2026 semi-annual report published on August 19 that it invested 10 million yuan of its own funds in the capital increase, subscribing for 333,300 yuan of new registered capital. If valued on the same basis, the round would total roughly 120 million yuan; this figure is an estimate based on the listed company's disclosure and has not been independently verified. The three investors bring complementary resources: the Renshou fund is backed by local new-energy industry development resources in Renshou, Sichuan; Chilwee Group, a lead-acid battery maker, has listed sodium-ion batteries as its second growth curve with planned sodium-ion capacity of 3 GWh; and Chuanheng, a phosphate chemical producer, is developing sodium iron pyrophosphate polyanion cathode materials.
Highstar Naxing is the core operating entity for Pret's sodium-ion battery business, established in March 2025 by Jiangsu Highstar Battery Manufacturing together with the management team of its new-energy division. Its cylindrical and prismatic sodium-ion cells serve energy storage, vehicle start-stop systems, telecom base stations and data center scenarios. The phase-one 2 GWh production line of its planned 6 GWh sodium-ion battery base in Neijiang, Sichuan is currently in equipment commissioning, with production expected in October; that timeline reflects corporate planning and no actual output has been produced yet.
