On August 27 at 15:23, Battery Network (China Battery Industry Association–Battery Network, by Xia Mo), citing the official 'Ning'er Release' WeChat account of the Ning'er County Government in Pu'er, Yunnan, reported that Pu'er Dianna Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Dianna Energy) has been steadily accelerating its capacity ramp-up since commencing production in February this year, with its sodium-ion battery products gaining broad market recognition downstream. All equipment has now been installed and commissioned, and the company has entered a full capacity release phase. A batch of e-bikes powered by Pu'er Dianna sodium-ion batteries is already in operation in Ning'er County, and the project has achieved RMB 30 million in output value since completion (source: Ning'er Release, photo by Liu Mengxing).
According to available information, Dianna Energy is a secondary subsidiary of Zhejiang Na-Create Energy Co., Ltd., established in May 2025, and is the first sodium-ion battery project in Pu'er, Yunnan. The project has a planned fixed-asset total investment of RMB 800 million and will build a 2 GWh sodium-ion cell and 2 GWh PACK production line. Products are designed for e-bikes, e-motorcycles, mobile base-station storage, PV storage, and other applications. The company's main businesses include new materials technology promotion services, battery and parts manufacturing and sales, electronic components and electromechanical equipment manufacturing and sales, and energy storage technology services. Notably, Dianna Energy went into production in February and entered a 'full capacity release' phase by August, completing equipment installation, commissioning, and downstream product adaptation in roughly half a year — significantly faster than the typical industry ramp-up cycle.
The RMB 30 million output value figure is cumulative 'since project completion' rather than a single-month figure, and represents 'output value' (not equivalent to revenue), with specific monthly shipments and unit prices undisclosed; the '2 GWh cells + 2 GWh PACK' planned scale is an annual design capacity, and whether it will be fully realized as ramp-up progresses remains to be seen; current downstream applications focus on e-bikes and e-motorcycles, and compared with headline events released on 8/26 such as CATL's Mojiang 1 GW/4 GWh sodium-ion independent shared storage project and Zhongna Energy's consumer-grade breakthrough, Dianna Energy's project scale and technical threshold are relatively modest.
