On August 26, Taihe Technologies (300801.SZ) replied on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange interactive platform to an investor question about the company's progress in the battery field: the company has laid out R&D projects for sodium-ion battery and solid-state battery related materials around the new energy battery materials direction. In sodium-ion batteries, sodium iron phosphate pyrophosphate (NFPP) samples have completed customer validation, and the company's 10,000 t/y NFPP cathode material production line is currently in commissioning.
In solid-state batteries and other battery materials, a 100-ton/y lithium sulfide pilot plant is under construction, sulfide solid-state electrolyte (LPSC) and oxide solid-state electrolyte lithium aluminum titanium phosphate (LATP) have completed kilogram-scale pilot testing, and the company is also conducting R&D and industrialization research on a series of long-acting organic lithium (sodium) supplement agents, hard carbon anodes and lithium-sulfur battery related materials. The company also cautioned that revenue from the above products has not yet reached a level that would significantly affect operating conditions, and trial production of new projects carries both technical and market uncertainties.
Taihe's 2026 interim report released the same day cross-confirmed this: during the reporting period, the company completed the conversion of its original 10,000 t/y LFP line to have 10,000 t/y NFPP capacity, with products passing customer validation and entering trial production and commissioning. Taihe is one of the world's largest and most complete water treatment chemical producers; in H1 2026, water treatment chemical revenue was RMB 1.109 billion, up 4.36% year-on-year, with overseas sales accounting for 56.14%. In the new energy materials direction, the company has laid out a product matrix including NFPP cathode materials, hard carbon anodes, lithium sulfide and lithium (sodium) supplement agents, with the NFPP project being a key landing project for its new energy materials industrialization.
'commissioning' is the early trial production stage, still far from stable mass-production ramp-up, and actual capacity attainment and product consistency remain to be verified; the company explicitly cautioned that this business's revenue has not yet materially affected operating conditions, and the current scale is small; the downstream customer list, order backlog and specific shipment volumes for NFPP have not been disclosed.
