According to Meishan Daily's August 20 report "Lines Running at Full Load, Orders Booked Solid — Meishan Industrial Economy in Full Swing", the automated sodium iron sulfate (NFS) cathode material production line of Meishan Lina Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Is operating at full load. Feeding, mixing, sintering, crushing and packaging are carried out continuously in sealed pipelines, monitored by a few technicians through screens in the control room; freshly produced NFS cathode products are packed and ready to be shipped to downstream battery makers. The company's production manager said that since the first line started trial production in March, equipment efficiency has kept improving, and overall capacity has now reached over 90% of the design target, with the ramp-up progressing significantly faster than originally planned.
On the market side, since the line started, the company has locked in over 5,000 tonnes of confirmed orders, with nearly 20,000 tonnes of intended orders under in-depth negotiation, covering multiple leading domestic sodium battery makers. Public reports show that NFS (a polyanionic NFPP-system) cathode material has become one of the mainstream sodium cathode routes thanks to its readily available raw materials, low cost and good cycling performance. The Meishan region has been building a "lithium + sodium" new energy materials industry in recent years, and Lina Energy's NFS cathode line is an important part of this chain. The company plans to reach an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes of NFS cathode material and 2 GWh of sodium-ion PACK by the end of 2026, with construction of a second line underway.
However, "intended orders ≠ confirmed orders ≠ deliveries", and intended orders carry negotiation and conversion uncertainty; the plan to reach 10,000 tonnes of cathode and 2 GWh of PACK capacity by the end of 2026 is a company target, not yet realized.
