Minmetals New Energy Materials (Hunan) Co., Ltd. (Minmetals New Energy, 688779.SH, formerly Changyuan Lithium) disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on the evening of August 17, 2026. In H1, the company achieved revenue of RMB 7.812 billion, up 169.00% YoY; total profit of RMB 522 million, an increase of RMB 534 million; net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 378 million versus a loss of RMB 26.83 million in the same period of last year, returning to profit; and non-GAAP net profit of RMB 373 million. The company attributed the significant YoY growth mainly to breakthroughs in high-voltage and ultra-high-nickel ternary materials, which passed certification and achieved batch supply to mainstream automakers and cell makers, as well as the completion of product finalization for its new-generation LFP products and introduction into multiple leading power-battery companies.
In the sodium-ion field, the semi-annual report discloses that the company's 100-ton-scale sodium-ion battery material pilot line is planned for commissioning within this year. In addition, its solid-state battery cathode core technology has achieved phased breakthroughs with several key performance indicators ranking among the industry's leading levels; its lithium iron manganese phosphate business follows a parallel 'blending and pure-use' technical route; and its short-process precursor process has streamlined steps and reduced production costs. During the reporting period, the national standard 'Determination of Slurry Viscosity for Lithium-Ion Battery Cathode Materials Testing Methods' led by the company, along with two industry standards ('Solid-State Lithium-Ion Battery Cathode Materials' and 'Lithium-Rich Nickel Lithium Oxide'), were officially approved and released.
It should be clarified that 'planned for commissioning this year' is a company-disclosed plan; the specific product route (layered oxide/polyanion), investment amount, capacity after commissioning and customer-validation progress of the pilot line are not disclosed; and pilot-line commissioning does not equal scaled mass production or commercial revenue contribution.
