On July 29, the Suining Ecology and Environment Bureau published a decision notice approving the EIA report for the high-capacity sodium battery and solid-state battery anode project of Sichuan Bestgraph New Energy Co., Ltd., under document number Sui Huan Ping Han [2026] No. 61, with approval dated July 29, 2026 and a 7-working-day publicity period starting July 30. The project was the subject of the July 22 pre-approval notice: an expansion at 15 South Wolong Road, Suining High-tech Zone, adding 15,200 t/y of fast-charging anode materials, including 15,000 t/y of hard-carbon sodium-ion anode and 200 t/y of porous carbon solid-state anode, with a total investment of RMB 300 million.
This is a completed fact (EIA approval). Approval means progress in the environmental permitting stage, not commissioned or operating capacity; the volumes above are planned capacity. Plant construction, equipment installation, commissioning and product qualification remain. The notice also notes the statutory periods for administrative reconsideration or litigation by interested parties.
