On July 22, the Suining Ecology and Environment Bureau published a pre-approval notice proposing to approve the EIA report for the high-capacity sodium battery and solid-state battery anode project by Sichuan Bestgraph New Energy Co., Ltd., with a publicity period from July 22 to July 28, 2026. The expansion, located at 15 South Wolong Road in the Suining High-tech Zone (leased workshop of the China West Lithium Product Distribution Centre Phase II), would add 15,200 t/y of fast-charging anode materials, comprising 15,000 t/y of hard-carbon sodium-ion anode material and 200 t/y of porous carbon solid-state anode material, with a total investment of RMB 300 million including RMB 4.2 million of environmental protection spending.
This is a completed administrative fact (EIA pre-approval publicity). The volumes above are planned capacity figures, not commissioned lines or actual supply. Hard carbon is a mainstream sodium-ion anode route today; the project still requires final approval, plant construction, equipment installation, commissioning and customer qualification. Earlier media coverage indicates Bestgraph already operates first- and second-phase anode lines in Suining, and this project expands within the existing plant.
