Citing the Jiujiang Ecology and Environment Bureau, China Chemical Industry News reported on July 24 that the bureau publicly proposed approval on July 22 of the EIA reports for a 4,500 t/y sodium electrolyte project and a 200 t/y lithium additive project by Jiujiang Tinci Advanced Materials, both located inside the existing Tinci Longshan base in Hukou High-tech Industrial Park, Jiangxi. The sodium electrolyte project is an expansion with a total investment of RMB 27.22 million: after removing a 500 t/y lithium difluorophosphate line, it will add 3,000 t/y (solids basis) of sodium hexafluorophosphate, 1,000 t/y (solids basis) of sodium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and 500 t/y (solids basis) of sodium difluorophosphate. The lithium additive project, with RMB 24.5 million of investment, will add 200 t/y (solids basis) of lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate.
This is a completed administrative fact (EIA pre-approval publicity), reflecting the proposed-approval stage rather than an issued approval or commissioned production. Sodium hexafluorophosphate is one of the core salts for sodium-ion battery electrolytes; a leading electrolyte maker extending into sodium salts signals supply-chain preparation for sodium-ion chemistries, and actual landing still depends on final approval, construction and product qualification.
For such disclosures, it is important to separate publicity, approval, construction and commissioning rather than reading early administrative steps as installed capacity.
