Lopal Tech said on an investor Q&A platform that its 5,000-tonne-per-year NFPP polyanionic material pilot line had been built, the full production process had been brought online, and the line was producing pilot batches. NFPP is a polyanionic sodium iron phosphate material. The move from laboratory formulation to continuous pilot production puts formulation, calcination, carbon coating and batch-to-batch consistency under engineering scrutiny.
Running pilot batches does not mean large-scale commercial supply has matured. Whether steady orders follow will depend on material performance, compaction density, cycling and rate capability, cost control, and the pace of cell customers’ qualification.
