Zhongna Energy’s sodium iron sulfate cathode material plant in Meishan, Sichuan, began production in January 2026. Production has started, but a steady supply pace will depend on the capacity ramp-up and execution of orders.
Public reports also cited more than 5,000 tonnes of orders on hand and expressions of interest covering nearly 20,000 tonnes after the plant began production. Orders on hand and expressions of interest are neither revenue nor final shipments; they offer an indication that downstream customers are testing the material system, securing supply and planning capacity.
