什么是钠电池的 UN38.3 测试?

What is UN38.3 test for sodium-ion batteries?

UN38.3 是联合国《全球统一制度》下锂电池、钠离子电池等储能产品强制运输安全标准,所有电芯、模组、PACK 在海运、陆运、空运出货前必须全套通过,取得运输鉴定报告才可归类为 9 类危险品正常流通。整套测试模拟货物长途运输全过程极端工况,验证电池在颠簸、高低温、气压突变、机械撞击、电气滥用下不起火、不爆炸、不漏液,规避物流火灾事故。测试分为 8 项标准化强制试验,每项有严格判定标准,单项不合格即无法通过运输审核。该标准覆盖单体电芯、电池模组、成品 PACK 三个层级,不同容量规格样品参数要求区分,钠电池因材料热稳定性优于三元锂电,但仍需完整走完全部项目,区别于铅酸电池简易检测。所有储能设备、低速电动车配套钠电池出货前均由第三方权威实验室完成 UN38.3 检测,出具 MSDS、运输条件鉴定书,海关、物流企业以此作为货物承运准入依据,未达标产品禁止装车、装船、装机运输。


UN38.3 is a mandatory transportation safety standard under the UN Globally Harmonized System for lithium and sodium-ion storage products. All cells, modules and PACKs must pass the full test before sea, land and air transportation and obtain transportation appraisal certificates to be classified as Class 9 dangerous goods for circulation. The full set of tests simulate extreme conditions during long-distance transportation to verify that batteries will not catch fire, explode or leak under vibration, temperature swing, air pressure change, mechanical impact and electrical abuse, avoiding logistics fire accidents. There are 8 standardized mandatory items with strict pass criteria; failure of any single item disqualifies the product from transportation approval. The standard covers single cells, modules and finished PACKs with differentiated sample parameters for various capacities. Although sodium-ion batteries possess better thermal stability than ternary lithium batteries, they still need to complete all items, unlike simplified tests for lead-acid batteries. Third-party authorized laboratories conduct UN38.3 testing for all sodium batteries matched with energy storage equipment and low-speed vehicles before delivery, issuing MSDS and transportation appraisal documents, which serve as access standards for customs and logistics companies. Non-compliant products are prohibited from land, sea and air shipment.
