The series and parallel combination can flexibly adapt to the parameter requirements of various scenarios. The core function of series connection is to boost the voltage: connect multiple cells end to end, superimpose the monomer voltage, increase the total voltage of the battery pack, and adapt to the high-voltage power supply demand of electric vehicles and high-voltage energy storage equipment; the core function of parallel connection is to expand the capacity: connect the positive and negative electrodes of multiple cells correspondingly, superimpose the monomer capacity, increase the total power storage of the battery pack, and extend the battery life and power supply duration of the equipment. In practical applications, the combination of series and parallel connection is usually adopted, with the balanced management of BMS system, to flexibly combine battery packs with different voltages, capacities and powers, which fully adapt to various scenarios such as power, energy storage and backup power supply.
