钠电池内部为什么不会短路?

Why doesn't internal short circuit occur in Sodium-ion Battery?    

正常合规工况下,钠电池内部不会发生短路,依托多重结构防护和材料稳定性实现安全运行。第一,核心防护来自隔膜,多孔隔膜完整隔离正负极两大电极,杜绝电极直接接触,从物理层面阻断内部短路路径;第二,电解液配方稳定,无导电杂质、无沉淀结块,不会形成导电通路;第三,正负极材料化学性质稳定,充放电过程中无大量析晶、无材料脱落堆积,不会搭接正负极;第四,量产电芯封装工艺规范,内部结构紧凑稳定,无位移、无变形。只有在极端外力破坏、高温烧毁、劣质电芯工艺缺陷等特殊情况下,才有可能出现内部短路问题。


Under normal and compliant working conditions, internal short circuit will not occur in Sodium-ion Battery, which relies on multiple structural protections and material stability to achieve safe operation. First, the core protection comes from the separator. The porous separator completely isolates the cathode and anode electrodes, avoiding direct contact between the electrodes, and blocking the internal short circuit path from the physical level; second, the electrolyte formula is stable, without conductive impurities and precipitation agglomeration, and will not form a conductive path; third, the cathode and anode materials have stable chemical properties, and there will be no a large amount of crystallization and material falling off and accumulation during the charge and discharge process, which will not bridge the cathode and anode; fourth, the mass production cell packaging process is standardized, the internal structure is compact and stable, without displacement and deformation. Internal short circuit may occur only under special circumstances such as extreme external force damage, high temperature burning, and poor process of inferior cells.
