Temperature collection wires connect the BMS mainboard and NTC thermistors attached to cell surfaces, forming the whole PACK temperature sensing network with three core functions supporting thermal management and safety protection. First, synchronous multi-point temperature monitoring: real-time collection of the maximum, minimum and average module temperature to identify local overheating or extremely low temperature of single cells, and transmit data to BMS synchronously. Second linkage with thermal management system: heating films automatically start to raise temperature when low temperature falls below the threshold, while air/water cooling activates under high temperature to maintain cells within the optimal 20~35℃ working range for a long term, avoiding sodium precipitation short circuits at low temperature and restraining electrolyte decomposition gas generation at high temperature. Third fault early warning and protection: over-temperature protection activates immediately when the temperature rise of a single cell exceeds the standard to cut off the charge-discharge loop and avoid chain thermal runaway risks. Large-capacity energy storage PACKs arrange 3~5 temperature measuring points for each string of modules for intensive monitoring to narrow temperature difference errors. Temperature collection wires are low-voltage weak-current circuits, routed separately from high-voltage harnesses to isolate electromagnetic interference, and probes are tightly attached to cell shells with thermal double-sided adhesive to guarantee accurate temperature measurement.
