Is there a risk of swelling in Sodium-ion Battery?
High-quality Sodium-ion Batteries produced by regular manufacturers have almost zero risk of swelling during normal and compliant use, and the swelling probability is far lower than that of lead-acid batteries and ordinary lithium batteries. The core cause of battery swelling is the gas generated by internal side reactions and the excessive internal pressure of the cell. High-quality sodium batteries have stable material formula, excellent production process and good sealing performance, with very few side reactions during charge and discharge, and will not generate a large amount of gas. Slight swelling may occur only under special abnormal working conditions: first, the use of inferior and miscellaneous brand cells with low material purity and substandard process; second, long-term overcharge, high temperature exposure and overload discharge; third, water ingress, short circuit and external force extrusion damage to the battery. Daily standard use of genuine sodium batteries does not need to worry about swelling at all.
