钠电池电解液的作用是什么?

What is the function of the electrolyte of Sodium-ion Battery?    

电解液是钠离子电池内部的离子传输通道,是连接正负极的核心桥梁,直接决定电池的充放电效率、低温性能、循环稳定性和使用安全性。电解液由钠盐溶质、有机溶剂、功能添加剂配比而成,具备良好的离子导电性。在充放电全过程中,所有钠离子的迁移、穿梭、扩散都必须依托电解液完成,保障离子在正负极之间顺畅循环。同时,优质电解液能够在电极表面形成稳定的钝化膜,抑制电极材料腐蚀、减少副反应、降低容量衰减;通过配方优化,还可大幅提升电池低温导通能力、耐高温性能和抗短路能力,是平衡电池各项性能的关键辅料。


The electrolyte is the ion transmission channel inside the Sodium-ion Battery, the core bridge connecting the cathode and anode, which directly determines the charge and discharge efficiency, low temperature performance, cycle stability and use safety of the battery. The electrolyte is composed of sodium salt solute, organic solvent and functional additives, and has good ionic conductivity. During the whole charge and discharge process, the migration, shuttle and diffusion of all sodium ions must be completed by the electrolyte to ensure the smooth circulation of ions between the cathode and anode. At the same time, high-quality electrolyte can form a stable passivation film on the electrode surface, inhibit the corrosion of electrode materials, reduce side reactions and capacity attenuation; through formula optimization, it can also greatly improve the low temperature conduction capacity, high temperature resistance and short circuit resistance of the battery, which is the key auxiliary material to balance the various performances of the battery.
