What is the function of the anode of Sodium-ion Battery?
The anode is the energy storage core of Sodium-ion Battery, which undertakes the key role of storing sodium ions and realizing energy storage, and directly affects the charging speed, cycle life and discharge stability of the battery. During the charging process, all sodium ions migrated from the cathode are intercalated into the micropore structure of the anode material, converting electrical energy into chemical energy for storage. The sodium storage capacity of the anode directly determines the maximum power storage of the battery; during the discharging process, the anode accurately deintercalates the stored sodium ions, making them flow back to the cathode, and synchronously releasing electrical energy to supply power to the equipment. At the same time, the structural stability and ion conduction efficiency of the anode material directly determine the fast charging capacity, anti-attenuation ability and cycle times of the battery, which is the key component to ensure the long-term stable operation of the battery and reduce capacity attenuation.
